How to play Daily Trivia

  1. Tap (or click, or press 1-4/A-D) the answer you think is correct — you have 20 seconds per question.

  2. Watch the card you picked turn green or red at once, and read the crowd line once enough other players have answered.

  3. Answer all ten questions, then review the graded sheet: tap any row to see the question again with the right answer and the fact behind it.

  4. Tap HAND IN to finish and see your score against today's players; come back tomorrow for ten new questions.

Tips

  1. The two easiest questions always come first and the two hardest always come last, so a slow start on question 9 or 10 is normal, not a sign you're doing badly.

  2. Unused seconds only ever help the question you answer them on — there's no reward for rushing an easy question to "bank" time, so take the full twenty seconds when you're unsure.

  3. A ⭐ means fewer than 3 in 10 players also got it right, so don't worry about missing a starred question — most people did too.

  4. You get one go a day, and leaving mid-game counts as your go, so start when you have two quiet minutes.

About Daily Trivia

Daily Trivia is a free daily trivia quiz and a short general knowledge quiz: ten trivia questions for today, the same for every player that day, printed like a newspaper quiz column. Each question gets twenty seconds and four lettered answers (A–D) — tap one and find out at once whether you got it right. Miss the clock and it counts as a wrong answer, so the twenty seconds are part of the challenge, not just the questions. The ten questions always spread across at least seven of eight categories — science, history, geography, literature, arts, sports, food and nature — so no day turns into a single-subject pop quiz, and the mix of two easy warm-ups, three medium, three hard and two genuinely tough questions means almost everyone gets a few right and almost everyone gets stretched by the end.

A round plays fast: tap an answer card (or press 1–4 or A–D on a keyboard) and the correct card turns green at once, with the one you picked turning red if you were wrong. Once enough other players have answered the same question that day, a line appears underneath it — something like "61% knew this · most who missed it said Paris" — so you can see how today's crowd did on that exact question for a moment before the page moves on. There's no going back to change an answer and no partial credit for a guess: it's right, wrong, or you ran out of time.

After question ten, a graded sheet lists every question as a green tick, a red cross or a blacked-out timeout box, with your score stamped in red ink: 10,000 points per correct answer plus a small bonus for how much of the twenty seconds you had left, shown simply as "8/10 correct". Hand the sheet in and see how you stack up: "Smarter than 72% of today's players", worked out from everyone else's score that same day. Any question you got right that fewer than 30% of players also got right is marked on your graded sheet ("only 18% knew it") and earns a ⭐ in your share line, so a hard-won correct answer actually stands out. You get one go a day, so every result is a first try: every player that day answers the exact same ten questions in the exact same order, and nobody gets a second look at them.

On a phone, tap your way through the whole thing: answer cards, the graded sheet's rows, the report-a-question control and the HAND IN button all respond to touch. On a desktop, the mouse does the same job and the keyboard plays all of it too — 1–4 or A–D to answer, 1–9 and 0 to open a row on the graded sheet, F to flag it, Enter or Space to hand in — and the wide screen lays the question and answers out large on one side with the stopwatch, the ten-question progress strip and the crowd's running numbers beside it. Daily Trivia sits alongside Gamefinity's other daily games like Daily IQ, with the same return-every-day rhythm: a fresh ten questions each day (Eastern Time), one go at each day's edition, and an archive of recent editions to play when you want more. In Swipe mode and gauntlets it plays as Quick, the two-minute version with ten seconds a question. It's a natural fit if you enjoy quiz games, quick games you can finish on a break, or the daily-puzzle pull of games like Wordle.

Daily Trivia FAQ

  • How long does a round of Daily Trivia take?

About one to two minutes for most players: ten questions at up to 20 seconds each, plus a moment between questions and a quick look at the graded sheet.

  • How is the score calculated?

Each correct answer is worth 10,000 points plus a small bonus for how many of the question's 20 seconds were left when you answered; wrong answers and timeouts score nothing. The graded sheet also shows it simply as "X/10 correct".

  • Does everyone get the same questions?

Yes — the Daily edition deals the identical ten questions, in the identical order, to every player on a given day (Eastern Time), which is what makes "smarter than 72% of today's players" a fair comparison.

  • Is Daily Trivia a general knowledge quiz?

Yes. Each day’s ten questions spread across at least seven of its eight categories (science, history, geography, literature, arts, sports, food and nature) and run from two easy warm-ups to two genuinely tough questions, so no single specialist subject decides the day.

  • Can I play Daily Trivia on my phone?

Yes. Every answer, the graded sheet and HAND IN all work by touch on a phone, and the same game also plays by mouse and keyboard on desktop.

  • What happens if I don't answer in time?

The question is marked as timed out (shown as a black square on the graded sheet) and scores nothing, the same as a wrong answer, and the next question starts normally.

  • Can I play more than once a day?

The daily edition is one go a day, on each account and each device, so everyone's score is a first try. For more, the Quick version on the same page deals random questions at ten seconds each as often as you like, and recent editions in the archive can be played any time; neither counts toward a streak or the day's leaderboard.
