How to play Uncommet
Read the prompt on the card: eight arrive every day, the same for everyone.
Type a real answer on your keyboard (on a phone, your phone's own keyboard); it is painted on your rocket as you type.
Launch it with Enter or the LAUNCH button before the 20-second clock runs out. Close but not exact? The game asks "Did you mean …?" and one more tap or Enter launches it. A name not on the list is refused, so try another.
Every answer is a burn from wherever your rocket is: the rarer the answer, the bigger the burn, from 10 points up to 100. Read the fact about your answer, then press NEXT LAUNCH when you are ready for the next prompt.
Your running total is your place on the journey: land on the Moon, Mars, Europa, Titan or Pluto on the way, and reach Voyager 1 with a perfect 800.
Look out for Today's Comet: one special answer per prompt that streaks in when you name it.
After eight burns, read your mission chart and flight report and share your score. The next mission arrives tomorrow.

Tips
Skip your first thought. The answer that comes to mind first is the one everyone else thinks of too: it still counts, but your second or third idea is usually worth far more.
Think small and quiet: the less famous the name, the bigger the burn.
Not sure of the spelling? Type what you know and press Enter: if it is close to a name on the list, the game offers that one answer, and Enter launches it.
Watch the next stop. Each result says how many points away the next world is, so you know how big a burn a landing needs.
A safe answer beats no answer. If the clock is running out, launch something you are sure is on the list: even the most common answer scores 10.
About Uncommet
Uncommet is a free daily rare answer trivia game. Every day brings eight prompts, the same for everyone: a country in Africa, a Pixar film, a US Supreme Court justice, a chemical element. You type one real answer to each before a 20-second clock runs out. Every answer on our list counts, and the rarer your answer, the more it is worth: the answer everyone says first scores 10 points, one that almost nobody thinks of scores 100. It is a quick brain teaser for anyone who loves quiz games and the feeling of knowing something nobody else thought of.
The whole day is one journey. Each answer is a burn that pushes your rocket further from Earth, starting wherever the last one left it, and your running total is your place on a real scale: past the Eiffel Tower, Everest and the Kármán line where space begins, the Space Station and the satellites, then out among the worlds. Your rocket lands on the Moon at 186 points, Mars at 273, Europa under Jupiter at 367, Titan under Saturn at 454 and Pluto at 611, and a perfect 800 meets Voyager 1 one light-day out. Every landmark carries one true fact. Every prompt also hides Today's Comet, one hand-picked answer with a fact attached; name it and the comet streaks in beside your rocket. Miss it and it stays a secret: the game never tells you an answer you did not give.
Rarity is not a guess. Every list is built from Wikidata and checked against the matching Wikipedia list, so a correct answer is always on it, other names and spellings count too, and small typos are forgiven. Your answer is painted down the side of your rocket as you type. Press Enter or LAUNCH: a name on the list launches at once, and if you were close (a typo, or most of a long name), the game asks "Did you mean …?" with one answer you can launch with a tap. Nothing is suggested while you type, so the game never hands you an answer you did not think of. How rare an answer is comes from how often people look it up on Wikipedia and how many languages have an article on it, measured the same way for everyone, so your score is fair and verified like every ranked game on Gamefinity. A name that is not on the list is refused and you can try again while the clock runs; made-up words never score.
Each day is a numbered mission, and you fly it once: one mission a day for each account and each browser, so every score on the board is a first try. The game never pauses with a question open, so nobody can stop the clock to look an answer up: if you switch away mid-question, that stage gets no burn. After every burn the flight log prints a true fact about the answer you gave, and the next prompt waits until you press NEXT LAUNCH, so you can read it at your own pace. At the end you get the mission chart, your whole flight path with a flag at every stage, and the flight report: your score out of 800, where the journey reached, your best burn, and a share line that shows your score without spoiling any answers. More than 1,000 prompts cover places and geography, people and history, nature, food, music, film and TV, books, art, games, sport, science and language: cities by country and by state, rivers, islands and national parks, presidents, monarchs and Nobel laureates, dog breeds and dinosaurs, cheeses and cocktails, songs and albums by artist, films by actor and director, the elements and the constellations, football clubs and NFL teams. No prompt comes back for months. Each day starts with easy prompts and builds to harder ones, and a new set arrives at midnight ET. If you liked Krillion and are looking for games like Krillion, this is our take on the rare answer idea, with our own scale, scoring and look; Gamefinity is not affiliated with Krillion.
It plays on every screen. On a phone, type on your phone's own keyboard (swipe typing works too) and press send or tap LAUNCH; on a computer, just type and press Enter. A mission takes three or four minutes, and your result goes on the day's leaderboard when you are signed in. Find it with our other daily games, daily trivia games, brain games, geography games and quick games, on mobile or PC.

Uncommet FAQ
How long does a game of Uncommet take?
Three or four minutes: eight prompts with a 20-second clock each, a short burn after every answer, a fact to read before you start the next one, and the mission report at the end. There is one mission a day, and a new set of eight arrives at midnight ET.
How is the score calculated?
Each answer scores 10 to 100 points by how rarely it is looked up, from the most common answer on the list (10) to the rarest one (100). Every answer on the list counts. Eight answers make up to 800 points, and your running total is how far your rocket has travelled on a real scale, from the top of the Eiffel Tower to one light-day out.
Can I play Uncommet more than once a day?
No. Each mission is flown once: one run a day for each account and each browser, so everyone's score is a first try. Come back later the same day and you see your result; a new mission arrives at midnight ET.
Can I pause in the middle of a question?
No. The game never pauses while a question is open, so nobody can stop the clock to look an answer up. If you switch away or pause mid-question, that stage gets no burn and the mission carries on. Between questions you can take as long as you like: the next prompt only starts when you press NEXT LAUNCH.
What is Today's Comet?
One hand-picked answer for each prompt, chosen from the rarer half of the list because it comes with a true and surprising fact. Name it and the comet joins your rocket and is marked in your report. It never changes your score, and if you miss it, it stays a secret.
Can I play Uncommet on my phone?
Yes. It is built for phones held upright: type on your phone's own keyboard and press send or tap LAUNCH. On a computer you can simply type.
Is Uncommet the same as Krillion?
No. Krillion is a separate game by its own developer, and Gamefinity is not affiliated with it. Uncommet is our own game on the same idea that rare answers win, with its own lists, its journey through space, Today's Comet and its own scoring.
