About Soccer Games

Soccer, or football to most of the world, is the most popular sport on the planet, and its best moments are the easiest to bring to a screen: a shot that bends round the wall, a keeper beaten at the near post, a clever angle off the boards. The soccer games on Gamefinity skip the ninety minutes and give you those moments one shot at a time, with controls you pick up in seconds.

Table Kick is flick football: tabletop soccer with flat discs, five a side, on a wooden board with a striped felt pitch. On your turn you pull back from one of your discs like a slingshot and let go. Strike the ball through its centre to send it straight, catch its side to cut it at an angle, or bank it off the cushion round a defender, all before the 7-second shot clock runs out. The Cup Ladder sends ten CPU teams at you, from Puddle Town to the Royal Comets, each match first to two goals or three minutes, and a two-minute Shootout against a wall of defenders that grows with every goal is one of the games The Daily can deal. Top Corner is the free kick and penalty game: swipe from the ball to the spot in the goal, swipe faster for more power and curve the swipe to bend the ball over or round the jumping wall and past the diving keeper. Targets painted in the goal pay bonus points, goals in a row build a streak multiplier up to ×3, and in Endless you shoot until a miss or a save has cost you all three lives.

Both games play free in your browser on a phone or a computer: pull back or swipe with a finger, or drag with the mouse. For more shots decided by an angle, see the flick games and the aim games; the sports games page has basketball, bowling, pool and more.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is soccer the same as football?

Yes. Most of the world calls the game football; soccer is the name used in the United States and Canada, among other places. Our soccer games are about that game, played with a round ball and two goals.

  • How does flick football work?

Each player is a flat disc. In Table Kick you press one of your discs, pull back away from where you want it to go and let go: the direction sets the line and the length of the pull sets the power. The disc knocks the ball, the other discs and the cushions about, and the CPU team shoots the same way on its turn.

  • How do I bend a free kick in Top Corner?

Curve your swipe. A swipe that bows out to the right sends the ball off to the right first and curls it back to where your swipe ended; bow it to the left for the other way. The stronger the curve, the bigger the bend.

  • Can I play soccer games on my phone?

Yes. Both are made for touch: pull back from a disc with your thumb in Table Kick, or swipe from the ball in Top Corner. On a computer you drag with the mouse instead.
