Games Like Flappy Bird

About Games Like Flappy Bird

Flappy Bird, released by Dong Nguyen in 2013, was one tap and one rule: tap to flap, fall when you stop, and fly through the gaps. It was famously hard, every crash was your own fault, and "one more go" was always a second away. The games on this page keep that recipe: one input, a run that ends the moment you slip, and a best score that is just out of reach.

The first pick keeps the flapping bird and the gaps; the others keep the one-tap timing and change everything around it. They are our own games, and Gamefinity is not affiliated with Flappy Bird or its creator. All of them play free in your browser, by tapping on a phone or with a click or the space bar on a computer (Cloud Hopper steers instead, with the arrow keys or by holding either side of the screen), and each has a verified leaderboard. For more of the same kind of game, see our one-button games and endless runner games.

Tap to fly

Sky Flap is the classic tap-to-fly game: your coral bird falls unless you tap, and every tap gives it a crisp lift through the gaps in moonlit castle towers. The towers come faster until you crash, and a two-minute flight of it is one of the games The Daily can deal.

The same timing, somewhere else

Orbit Hop is one tap in space: your rocket circles a planet, and the only thing you choose is when to let go. Time it right and the next planet's gravity catches you; the first three planets show you the launch window, then the timing is yours, with three rockets to spare. Drift Circuit is a one-tap driving game: a car drives itself along a zigzag road in the sky, and each tap turns it into the next bend. Both start gently and get faster and tighter the further you go, and one bad tap costs you, just as a clipped pipe did.

Upside Run is one tap on the run: a courier sprints along a space-station corridor on their own, and each tap flips gravity, sending them up to the ceiling or back down to the floor over gaps and spikes. Tap too early or too late and you fall into the void, and the run speeds up every five seconds until you slip.

Cloud Hopper is the gentlest of the five: a round orange bird bounces up a painted sky on its own, and you steer it left and right onto the next cloud. It has three hearts and no gaps to thread, so it suits players who want the bird and the climb without the instant crash.

Frequently asked questions

  • Which game here is most like Flappy Bird?

Sky Flap: tap to keep a little bird in the air and fly through the gaps between castle towers. The towers come faster the further you fly, and one crash ends the run.

  • Is Flappy Bird on Gamefinity?

No. Flappy Bird is not ours and Gamefinity is not affiliated with it. Sky Flap is our own tap-to-fly game in the same spirit.

  • Can I play these on a computer?

Yes. In Sky Flap, Orbit Hop and Drift Circuit, click or press the space bar to tap; on a phone or tablet, tap anywhere on the game. Cloud Hopper steers instead: hold the left or right arrow key (or A and D) on a computer, or either side of the screen on a phone.
