About the Teeterly leaderboard

Five odd loads, one brass balance, one weighing each and no clock: set an anvil, a rubber duck or a watermelon on the beam's notches, press WEIGH and score by how level real physics lets it rest.

This board ranks every signed-in player’s best verified score in Teeterly on that day. Each player is listed once, with their best run: a better run replaces it, a worse one leaves it where it is.

How a run scores

  • Press WEIGH. You get one weighing per puzzle: if the beam comes to rest level with nothing fallen off it is BALANCED and scores 1,000; every degree off level costs 100, and anything that falls off scores nothing.
  • The verdict is final and the next puzzle comes. There is no clock: take as long as you like over each one, and level all five for the full 5,000.

How to climb the board

  • Do the sum before you weigh: add up weight × notch on each side. A 3 lb brick at notch 4 is 12, exactly a 4 lb stack of books at notch 3.
  • Put heavy things near the pivot and light things far out. The anvil weighs 12, so even notch 2 is 24; a 1 lb duck at notch 6 makes up the last few.
  • You only get one weighing, so check the sum on both sides before you press WEIGH. A near miss still pays: a beam 1° off level keeps 900 of its 1,000 points, but a melon that rolls off scores nothing.

Periods, ties and checks

All-time keeps each player’s best since the board opened. This week starts again every Monday at midnight New York time. Today starts again every day at midnight New York time, with one ranked attempt a day.

Equal scores share a place, and the run finished first is listed first.

A run records only your inputs. Our server plays them again with the same game code, and only a score the replay matches is verified. A person also checks the top 10 scores.

The board lists every player, guests under their generated name. Sign in with Google or Apple from a result to keep your scores and pick your own name. Bots, scripts and other automated or assisted play are not allowed (see our terms of use).
