About the Sudoku Sprint leaderboard
Quick 6×6 mini sudokus in a zen garden: start with two minutes on the clock, win time back for every grid you solve and see how long you can keep going.
This board ranks every signed-in player’s best verified score in Sudoku Sprint of all time. Each player is listed once, with their best run: a better run replaces it, a worse one leaves it where it is.
How a run scores
- Tap or click the start screen: the first 6×6 sudoku appears in the garden, with its clues printed in bold black and two minutes on the clock.
- Right numbers go in in blue and score 100 points, double or triple while you keep a quick flow going. A wrong number turns red, the numbers it clashes with get a red edge, and it costs five seconds: tap another number or Erase to fix it.
- Fill the grid to solve it and win time back on the clock (30 seconds for the first grid, a second less for each one after it, never less than 20), then go straight on to the next, harder grid.
How to climb the board
- Look for the box that is almost full first. A 2×3 box with five numbers has exactly one gap, and it is often the fastest placement on the board.
- Keep your flow on the first two grids. Placing each number within three seconds of the last doubles and then triples its points, so do the obvious placements in one quick run before you hunt for the hard ones.
- Do not guess when a clean grid is still possible: one wrong number costs five seconds, the 500-point clean bonus and your flow.
Periods, ties and checks
All-time keeps each player’s best since the board opened. This week starts again every Monday at midnight New York time.
Equal scores share a place, and the run finished first is listed first.
A run records only your inputs. Our server plays them again with the same game code, and only a score the replay matches is verified. A person also checks the top 10 scores.
The board lists every player, guests under their generated name. Sign in with Google or Apple from a result to keep your scores and pick your own name. Bots, scripts and other automated or assisted play are not allowed (see our terms of use).
